One of Hungary’s most renown and best equestrian centres ( Kaboka ) can be found only a few minutes walk away at Kabokapuszta. Operating on a pay as you go basis (approx £8 per hr ). Wine – the area has some excellent vineyards and these can be enjoyed at nearby restaurants. In the centre of Lajoskomarom, the same family own two lovely restaurants http://www.eresz.hu/. In the village centre at the cross roads you will find the Cresz.

Shopping: A small shop can be found at the end of the road and the owner speaks English. In the village of Lajoskomarom there is a small supermarket which is open from 5.30am until 6pm and an excellent butchers.At Siofok 25 mins away you will find a 24hr Tesco supermarket.

Description of area

The south of Lake Balaton area covers Somogy, Tolna and Baranya counties, all noted for lush rolling hills, rich fertile soil and historic cities. There are famous wine growing areas here like South Balaton, Szekszárd or Villány-Siklós. There are also several protected areas belonging to the Duna-Dráva National Park, like Gemenc, Zselic or Mecsek, there are beautiful forests rich in wildlife. The main cities of Pécs, Kaposvár and Szekszárd are centres of study, trade and entertainment. This area is easily accessible from Budapes, Zagrab or Graz airports.
