About Steve

Steve

My name is Stephen Davies and I live in the North West of England and you have probably met me at one of the trade shows in the UK & Ireland where I promote the services offered by several Hungarian companies –  property, low cost dentistry, camp sites, equestrian holidays and thermal spa breaks.

It was back in 2007 when I first bought a holiday home close to Lake Balaton.

Hungary was a country I knew so little about but when I first heard about the possibility of investing in Hungary, I decided to take up the offer of a property viewing trip and became convinced of the benefits immediately. Now my whole family enjoys what Hungary has to offer, from my 78 year old mother through to my grandchildren – the lovely climate, the superb restaurants, the great outdoors, the splendid spas… And I go fishing on the look out for the world record carp myself!

Realising Hungary offered fantastic value for money and was poorly marketed in the UK & Ireland, it was during the summer of 2008, I started to organise a few trade shows on behalf of a select few Hungarian businesses – primarily property related but also an equestrian centre, a company which operates 18 campsites at Lake Balaton, a Hungarian dentist and a hotel chain offering Thermal Spa holidays.

I am home based in the UK but the estate agents I work with all have offices in Hungary staffed by English speaking contacts who are on hand to make the buying process easy and provide after sales support to help you settle in eg. organising building work, Satellite TV etc. In fact some of the staff are Brits who work part time over in Hungary.

Over the last few years I have met hundreds of people at the trade shows and I have been able to share my own experiences of life in Hungary. Subsequently many people have decided to give Hungary a try. In fact 95% of the clients I refer on are British or Irish – so everyone concerned is well versed with answering your questions.

I organise regular Hungarian Owner meetings in the UK  - please feel free to come along and say hello and ask questions of people who now live the dream. Regular email newsletter updates are also circulated. From the knowledge acquired I have compiled almost 50 FACT SHEETS covering topics such as Health Care, Driving to Hungary, Budapest city information, Pensions, Working in Hungary and re registering your UK / Irish car in Hungary. Most popular pastime subjects such as Cycling, Horse Riding, Sailing and Fishing to name a few are also covered. Tap into the extensive knowledge base and use the contacts at your disposal.

A full list of the FACT SHEETS which are available can be seen in the FAQ section
